Marriage Intensives and Couples Therapy for Lasting Change

Jenni works exclusively with couples who begin with a two-day marriage intensive. This focused form of couples therapy allows you to dive deeply into relationship dynamics, build lasting skills, and begin meaningful change from the start. Following the intensive, couples continue with Jenni through scheduled follow-up therapy sessions designed to reinforce and sustain the growth achieved. This approach offers couples a unique pathway to profound transformation, ensuring they have both the insight and tools to create lasting change. Many couples seek out marriage intensives after trying weekly couples therapy or marriage counseling without seeing lasting change. A focused intensive offers a more effective starting point for couples who feel stuck, disconnected, or caught in ongoing conflict.

Unlike a relaxing retreat, a marriage intensive is, as the name suggests, intense. It consists of two days of focused marriage therapy, allowing hours of deep emotional work, as well as learning transformative tools and principles for your marriage. This work is grounded in a Christian approach to marriage and integrates both clinical insight and faith-based perspective. Couples who complete a marriage intensive often experience clearer communication, reduced conflict, and a stronger sense of connection, along with practical tools they can continue using at home.

The two-day format allows for significant progress within a concentrated timeframe, covering what might otherwise take months in a traditional weekly therapy setting. Couples can make meaningful strides toward healing and growth over the course of these two days. This transformative two-day experience offers couples both time and space to engage deeply with their relationship challenges.

Frequently Asked Questions About Marriage Intensives

Are marriage intensives more effective than weekly couples therapy?
Marriage intensives offer a focused and immersive approach to couples therapy, allowing you to address patterns and underlying issues in a way that is often difficult in weekly sessions. While both approaches can be helpful, intensives provide the time and space to make meaningful progress more quickly.

How do I know if a marriage intensive is right for us?
A marriage intensive may be a good fit if you feel stuck in recurring conflict, disconnected from your spouse, or frustrated that previous couples therapy or marriage counseling has not led to lasting change. It is best suited for couples who are ready to engage honestly and do meaningful work.

What happens during a marriage intensive?
A marriage intensive includes two full days of focused couples therapy, where you will work to understand relationship patterns, improve communication, and begin developing new ways of relating. The process is structured but also responsive to your specific relationship dynamics.

Do you offer Christian marriage counseling?
Yes. My work reflects a Christian approach to marriage and is grounded in a Biblical understanding of relationship, healing, and restoration. Faith can be integrated into the process in a way that is meaningful for you as a couple.

How much does a marriage intensive cost?
The cost of a two-day marriage intensive is $5,000, which includes therapy sessions, lodging, and associated fees. A Good Faith Estimate will be provided prior to beginning services so you can fully understand the cost.

Do we need to live locally to work with you?
No. Many couples travel from across California and beyond to participate in a marriage intensive. The format is designed to provide a focused, destination-style experience.
